Shake Your Tailfeathers At Zumba Class

A Latin-inspired cardio fitness workout called Zumba (pronounced zoom-ba) is one of the most recent hits, sparking national attention, especially in the Southeast and Midwest. Movements that resemble belly dancing, the tango, and the meringue are tossed into the mix. It’s a fun and exhilarating way to reshape the entire body. “Ladies, don’t be shy, come join us! Swing those hips and shake, shake, shake!” said Zumba instructor Susana Gonzalez. There’s a variety of levels that come into the classroom which allows the instructor to work individually, and collectively, on everyone’s level. Participants will be able to stick to simpler basic moves while other, more advanced participants can add and elaborate to give the workout flair and to make it more challenging. The early morning class is offered every Monday at 6 a.m. and the evening classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. Classes have started but there is still space for those who would like to participate in this class.
